KITT WOO

Instructor

Hi, I’m Kitt! Before Pilates became my profession, my life revolved around the world of aerial acrobatics. For more than 15 years, I trained and performed professionally, competed at the highest level and was fortunate enough to win championship titles both in Malaysia and overseas. I absolutely loved the thrill of flying, performing and constantly pushing the limits of what my body could do.

But years of training at that intensity came with a price.

Behind all the performances and medals was a long battle with chronic back pain and recurring shoulder injuries. Like many athletes, I believed pain was simply part of the process. Eventually, I realised that constantly pushing through pain wasn’t helping me become stronger—it was simply teaching my body to compensate. I knew I didn’t want to stop moving, but I needed to learn how to move differently.

That curiosity led me down a completely different path. I wanted to understand why the body moves the way it does, why injuries happen and, more importantly, how movement can become a tool for healing rather than something we simply endure. I have never believed in doing endless repetitions just because that’s how it’s always been done. I wanted movement to make sense.

I began my movement education with Yoga Teacher Training in 2016 before continuing with Edupim Pilates Korea in 2024. In 2025, I completed the Polestar Pilates Comprehensive certification, which completely changed the way I view movement and teaching. Along the way, becoming a Franklin Method Level 1 & 2 Educator added another layer to my understanding of the body through functional anatomy, neurocognitive imagery and movement awareness.

Today, I enjoy helping clients understand their own bodies instead of simply following exercises. Whether you’re recovering from pain, returning from an injury, improving athletic performance or simply wanting to move better in everyday life, my goal is to help you build strength, confidence and a body that supports you for years to come.

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll usually find me hiking, playing musical instruments or planning my next food adventure. I try to eat mindfully to support my active lifestyle, but I will never say no to a good hotpot gathering, mochi or a really good piece of kunafa!
